Apple Tv Becomes Exclusive U.S. Home as F1 Season Kicks Off

Saturday at 11: 00 p. m. ET Apple Tv subscribers in the U. S. can stream the Australian Grand Prix live, marking the launch of Apple’s exclusive U. S. rights to Formula 1. This change is happening now because the 2026 Formula 1 season kicks off in Australia this weekend and Apple’s new U. S. coverage begins with that opening race.

Apple Tv will stream every session in 4K with Dolby Vision and 5. 1 sound

Apple Tv subscribers in the U. S. will be able to watch every practice, qualifying, sprint session and Grand Prix across the 2026 season, starting with this weekend’s action in Australia. As the exclusive U. S. home for Formula 1, the service will offer races live and on demand and deliver broadcasts in 4K with Dolby Vision alongside 5. 1 surround sound.

Driver Tracker, telemetry, podium feeds and Multiview give fans control

Viewers will have access to up to 30 additional live feeds, including a Driver Tracker bird’s-eye view, real-time telemetry and timing, a mixed onboard feed that automatically switches between onboard cameras, and podium feeds that follow the top three drivers. The platform also supports a Multiview experience that lets fans watch up to four live feeds at once, with one-tap preconfigured layouts by team and options to personalise which feeds to follow.

Coverage will include English and Spanish commentary and provide access to Sky Sports broadcasts as another way to enjoy race weekends. Curated programming for the season — covering rule changes, new cars, team updates and highlights from the prior season — will be available through Apple’s Formula 1 hub.

Five-year streaming deal launches with the March 7 Australian Grand Prix

The five-year streaming deal begins with the 2026 season and the Qatar Airways Australian Grand Prix on March 7, and new season programming is already in place for U. S. viewers. The eighth season of the Formula 1: Drive to Survive docuseries is now streaming on Apple Tv in the U. S., and practice and qualifying rounds from the opening weekend are available on demand at Apple’s Formula 1 channel.

Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services, said in an official statement that the company aims to build on Formula 1’s growth in America by combining Apple Tv with the broader Apple ecosystem to create new ways for fans to connect with the sport. Stefano Domenicali, Formula 1’s President and CEO, said in an official statement this is the perfect time to welcome Apple as the sport’s U. S. broadcaster.

The next confirmed milestone is the Australian Grand Prix live broadcast on Saturday at 11: 00 p. m. ET. If viewers sign up during the seven-day free trial, they can access the opening weekend’s races and on-demand F1 programming at no cost for that trial period.
