Adrian Portelli Unveils First Look at My Reno Rules Ahead of Premiere

Tuesday at 9: 00 a. m. ET — Adrian Portelli released a teaser for My Reno Rules, confirming he is joining Channel 7’s new renovation series and backing the prize pool. The reveal in 2025 is the immediate trigger for media attention, coming after his exit from The Block and ahead of the show’s planned airing later this year.

Adrian Portelli shared a teaser and a personal endorsement

Adrian Portelli posted a teaser on Instagram and wrote that he never imagined being part of a project like this, calling it “a completely new challenge” and saying he had “thrown myself into this project. ” Dr Chris Brown appears in the teaser and warns that “the rules can change at any moment, ” signaling a format designed with twists for contestants and viewers.

Four teams will renovate 54 and 56 Pinnacle Cres in Bulleen for viewer giveaways

My Reno Rules will feature four teams of everyday Aussies who must renovate two Melbourne properties purchased by Adrian Portelli for around $2. 7m and donated to production. The houses are located at 54 and 56 Pinnacle Cres, Bulleen, VIC, about 30 minutes from central Melbourne.

Unlike The Block’s auction format, the finished renovations will result in two viewers — not the highest bidders — walking away with one property each, a mechanic Channel 7 calls the “biggest giveaway in Australian television history. ”

Production lineup: Dr Chris Brown hosts with Neale Whitaker, Simon Cohen and Julia Green judging

Dr Chris Brown will host the series. The judging panel includes former Block judge Neale Whitaker, buyer’s agent and Luxe Listings Sydney star Simon Cohen, and interior stylist Julia Green from Greenhouse Interiors.

Adrian Portelli reportedly pitched the concept to Channel 7 after stepping back from The Block and is backing the prize pool, a move that positions him both behind the cameras and in a public-facing role for the new series.

Adrian Portelli’s run on The Block and the transition to a new format, 2022–2025

Adrian Portelli first gained fame from his appearances on The Block from 2022 to 2024, during which he spent $31 million on several properties; he was responsible for two of the biggest sales in the show’s history and bought all properties in the 2024 season before stepping away.

My Reno Rules will air later this year on Channel 7 and 7plus; Channel 7 will announce the official premiere date and time, with more details expected 10: 00 a. m. ET. If a premiere date is set, promotional scheduling and viewership projections are expected to follow in the days after that announcement.
