Pascal Pierre Paillé: Arrest Details and Charges
The municipal police arrested Pascal Pierre Paillé after an investigation into two separate alleged incidents involving minors. He is charged with sexual assault in a position of authority, sexual contact, and sexual assault. Police indicate the alleged incidents span two distinct time frames: one occurring between January 1 and June 25, 2006, and the other in August 2024.
The Centre de services scolaire de la Capitale has confirmed the former MP has been suspended from his teaching duties since February 2. The police statement notes that Paillé was detained following the arrest and will attend a courtroom appearance later the same day.
Allegations From an Identified Youth and Account of Encounters
One alleged victim, identified as Mathys, says he was 14 at the time of the August 2024 encounter. The young person recounted meeting the former elected official through a gay dating application and described two meetings: an initial public encounter at a festival where nothing happened, and a subsequent meeting during which the man drove the youth in a black Jeep with white stars on the doors to a wooded area on Quebec’s north shore, where sexual activity occurred. The youth said he told the man he was 17 during the exchanges and that the man later asked to see identification, which the youth said he had left at home.
The alleged victim described later regrets and a follow-up meeting after the start of the school year to discuss what had happened. That account is part of the material the police investigated. Some details of the 2006 allegations remain unclear from the publicly released information.
